Hello. About 2 days ago I went to turn my jeep on and it did start for about 2 mins. It was on park. Then out of the blue it just stopped. I went to turn the key again to start it up but it would just keep cranking over and over. I checked the fuel pump and that is working, checked voltage going to it, and reads 12 VDC. I took out all the spark plugs to make sure one of them was not defective, and they were in pretty good condition. I did spray some starting fluid around the throttle area and I got the jeep to start for about 12 seconds, then it stopped. I was having someone turn it on for me while I checked the fuel rail, and when I pressed down on the schraeder valve just a small little bit of gas would come out, with no pressure at all. Any help is greatly appreciated, am running out of ideas to try. |

Just because the fuel pump is 'working' doesn't mean it's providing enough pressure to start. You need to get a fuel pressure tester and check the actual pressure at the rail, or have it done at a shop. |
