Always a good idea to have a good look at the ignition switch/actuator as this is a common failure point.
Remove the plastic cover over the steering column column and remove the ignition switch off the end of the ignition actuator assembly...you need a small security Torx male with a hole down the center. If you see a small piece of plastic/metal fall off from the end of the actuator pin then that is your problem as it is unable to turn the ignition switch properly. You can start the jeep by turning the ignition switch with a small flat screwdriver in the meantime....make sure the ignition key is in its normal slot to unlock steering lock and to enable SKIS if you have this installed.
Make sure all fuses in the fuse boxes inside the cabin and under the hood are not blown and make sure you have a good battery, good clean tight connections on the battery, where the negative battery connection goes to ground and the grounding strap from the engine to chassis is clean and tight.
