To cut to the chase; I've done both 05 and 06 (early style) regulators:
1. the 1st eBay example pictured is nothing like the window regulator on either an 05 or 06 (early or late style) KJ. The 2nd eBay example pictured appears to match the 05 and 06 (early style), however, I personally have less than zero confidence in a no name manufacture eBay product not to mention the fact that this thing has the same plastic window clip that typically breaks on the OEM product. Now Dorman is a different story; I've used a variety of Dorman parts, but not a window regulator, with no problems although I'll bet a Dorman regulator assembly still has the breakable plastic part.
2. take a look at the Steiger Performance installation PDF and you will see what I mean regarding the above. While there determine exactly what's broken on your window regulator. If it's the plastic window bracket don't waste your money on a regulator assembly with the same plastic part.

If your problem is a broken plastic window bracket then I'd highly recommend the Steiger Performance product. Yes I know there are cheaper knockoffs on eBay but I'm willing to pay somewhat more $s to the USA company that developed the product as opposed to some unknown overseas company. FYI I have no connection to Steiger other than product purchase.

If you do have to replace the plastic window bracket 1) a mounted wire wheel is a big help removing the "fuzz" mentioned in the instructions and 2) the instructions mention bending the ball stud parallel to the ground, which is hard to see, what's critical is that the clip that engages the ball stud be fully and evenly engaged on both sides of the ball stud (run the window up/down 6 or so times to confirm before closing things up - I know)

I picked up the Dorman unit at O'Riley today. Just finished installing it. That was tougher than I thought it would be! And the Dorman unit is a very cheap piece of crap! The bottom bolt stripped out just turning it... Oh well it works and they say it has a lifetime warranty.
