Welcome to LOST
First start reading, there are tons of posts on here regarding lifts,
then after you get fully confused ( but way more knowledgeable ) we'll know more what your budget is, what you want to use your KJ for, what size tires you want to run, and also if needed if you want to re-gear to run larger tires
here is an example
heres what we did here at my place yesterday
started with this silver lowrider at 17.5 inches from middle of wheel to bottom of flare
Image
with a few select items he went to 22.5, 3.5 inches of lift over new stock height
an after shot with mine to show the difference

Tom also forgot to mention to listen to anything/everything he says about lifts 8)

The man is pretty much the lift guru. Everything he basically said was right. You basically mentioned you want about 3" which I personally think is a great height(also quite a selection of lifts to achieve that goal). Now all that's left is budget, plans for use and the tire size you're hoping to run.
