Post subject:  Bluetooth solution or stock looking head unit

Fellow Jeep Drivers,

I have an '08 Liberty with the REQ stock radio (No Navigation, has buttons for uconnect, includes SirusXM). Right now I'm using an AUX cord for music from my phone but I really hate cords and clutter. I'd love to add bluetooth but all the options seem more like hacks than actual solutions since you need to have exposed wires and knobs all over the place

Anyone know of a seemless bluetooth integration? I'd love to add the uconnect but from what I'm seeing it will cost $300+ for the parts, install, and dealership radio flashing. If I'm going to spend that much, shouldn't I spend a little more and get the RER radio w/ navigation? From what I see on ebay they go for about $500 new.

I could also get an aftermarket headunit but I'm pretty turned off by most of their looks. Nothing beats stock in my opinion. Are there any stock looking headunits available?

Any help is appreciated!

You can try this, it works great, you still need to plug into the front of your radio, and need to power it from the power outlet, but its very easy.

If you really want, this is what I did, I spliced a power connection to hide the power behind the dash.

I have an '07 and don't have an auxiliary jack so I used this in conjunction with the above, http://www.ebay.com/bhp/wired-fm-modulator
All you do is plug it in between your antenna then into your radio, add 12v source and you're good to go, no static since it is "broadcasting" directly into your antenna.

You can do this as well if you want a completely clean look because then you are not plugging into the face of your radio, you can hide everything behind the dash.

Good luck!
