I've heard it was easier/cheaper to install a front diff with 4.10s rather than regear the axle currently in the Libby because you have to pull the whole axle out either way. So I found a wrecked Libby with 4.10s and sure enough the price of the front axle is cheaper than new gears and install kit. I was wondering, should I grab the rear axle as well and swap it too or just regear the rear to match the front?

If both are good low mileage you could

since we have no information on yours kind of hard to see what year you have / if ABS etc what year the donor is

Mine and the donor are both 05 models, donor has around 260k miles which is slightly more than double my mileage. Body has no damage so I think the engine blew on it. I don't have abs but I'm not sure about donor.

260,000 ?
I'd be checking them real good
at the very least all new bearings etc.
I'd hope they are super cheap with that many miles

Lulz, I made a mistake. I'm near the Canadian border so its was 267k kilometers not miles. So its really about 166k miles, 46k more than I currently have.
