Post subject:  Jeep Liberty Replacement seats

So I did some searching an have not found an accurate answer. Most people recommend getting a offroad seat frome recaro etc but what I am looking for a is more of a functional seat. I want my front seats to be able to fold all the way forward (as much as possible) and be comfortable and maybe a little better for the offroad adventure. Who has taken seats from another vehicle and placed them in a KJ? Think budget seat replacement!

Thanks,

The KK's passenger seat folds all the way forward. I wonder if they fit the KJ? You could get an inexpensive matching set from a junkyard, and maybe heated seats too.

I would love to do the power and heated seat mod but when I search it I can't seem to find anyone who has gotten the heat to work. Anyone know of someone who has successfully added heated seats that work like it came from the factory?

I would definitely like another set of seats in mine. I can only take 2 hours on the road before my back is screaming for me to get out and stretch. I could drive 4 hours straight in my Focus hatchback before I had to stretch and by back wasn't killing me.....Or I could be getting old. Still, I know of the obvious aftermarket stuff but if there is a good option that I could yank out of another vehicle I'd love to find it.

You CAN get the heat to work, just some extra wiring and a relay, I haven't needed to yet, maybe when I leave the Island I will wire mine up. But I'd put in some KK fold flats in a heart beat!

This is probably no help since they are pretty much the same as what you probably have now, but just in case:

I happen to know this guy and he is a straight shooter, assuming you are interested. :)

It never stops :dizzy: !! My wife is going to kill me but... living in Colorado I bet I can convince her that SHE wants my rig to have heated seats. Oh and then I can convince her that we need heated mirrors to lol. We are going to be doing a lot of winter camping when I get back so the heated seats would be nice :CAMPING: .
So how is the heat controlled?

Getting OEM heated seats they come with the controls, you would just need to wire the seats together and add a relay for power so it doesn't drain the battery.
