Hi all , ive got a question about my libertys steering when cold that no one over here can help me with. Ive got a 2003 2.4 petrol thats makes a horendous vibrating noise from cold when i drive off when turning the steering. It sounds like the airbox or something vibrating or loose. Its so bad people look!! Is this a common problem..? Thanks, jamie.

Does it only do it when you drive or can you replicate it when parked? If you can replicate it in park have someone looking under the hood so you can pin point the source better.

It does it when stationary,im going to change the steering fluid at the weekend. I just want to get it sorted as its so annoying. Just wondered if it was a common problem.?

Sounds like it could be low on fluid - or the steering rack is going bad. Have you noticed any fluid weeping out around the tie rod boots coming out of the steering rack?

Changed the fluid but the noise is still there. Maybe it is the rack, ill have a proper look at the weekend. Thanks.
