Hi,
My KJ has stared to play up... It's been a while since I have been using it proparly (now a days I go to work on the Bike even in winter due to parking restictions where the office moved to) and it's been sting for a while. I took her out for a run to the previous wkd down to Sailsbury Plains for an off road run. I changed the tyre back to my MT before going but this is incidental as I noticed it also happing with the AT, on the way down I started to notice that occasionaly the rear of the KJ would start to sway on the straight, the road was flat and occasionally it would feel it would go to the right or the left with no real reason, it wasn't a windy day. Any Idea what could cause this?

My set up at the back is: OME NS132L OME 948 + 2 rear isolators at the top, All the bushes have been changed on the Upper Rear Arm and the lower arms and I have still the rear sway bar on.

Can you help? Even my wife was complaining the other day when she drove it up the motorway of this funny behaviour.

Tks,
Fil.

Check the rear set up, both the upper tri link and also the lower control arms. When my lower control arms went bad it would give you a nice shift back and forth while going down the road

Tom,

I will have a look again at them, they have less that 10K all the bushes, I was suspecting it might be them again, any recomendation on what to buy this time? I thing they were all Crown but they might have not held up.

Tom,

Went and had the rear of the KJ checked, looks like the bushes of the rear arms, only the ones connecting to the body, are failing now all the other ones are still good ( i guess I didn't change them, I can't remember, I know I changed the lower one to the Axel). I am looking to see if there are any better ones out there instead of Mopar or Crown, any suggestions?

Fil.

Considering the difficulty of pressing those out and back in on the vehicle, you may be better off shopping for a full arm with them already installed. The cost/benefit might be a bit skewed across the pond, but some in the states have done that.

My '04 was "doin' a little dance" out back last year...

Dance went away when I had the rear lowers replaced via recall...
