It's that time for a water pump. Swapping it out will be fast and easy, but thoughts on OEM Vs Bosch.....and others? OEM $144.45 Bosch from Rock Auto $35.79 plus shipping, Napa Truflow 53.99. So other than the obvoius steer clear of Vato Zone parts etc.. Does anyone have any practical experience with these water pumps?

I got a remanned Napa one- it's Mopar. It was $50, been fine since May.

I'd generally steer clear of new non Mopar ones because chances are they are made in China and probably of bad quality.

I've been running the rockauto one for awhile. The only difference I really noticed when changing them was the metal prop vs the stock plastic one. It doesn't leak and it moves coolant? What more can you ask for? about 20,000 on it now I believe.

Oh and I took the opportunity to clearance the bottom of the electric fan shroud to clear my pump driven fan so that if I ever need to take it out again, I don't need to take the pump driven one out. You may or may not have the pump driven fan.

Bgcarl01 Thanks for the info. Is the metal impeller on the bosch pump? For some reason I like metal parts on Jeeps :D
