| Post subject: | Oil pressure light |
On my way home last night my oil pressure light went on about 25 minutes into the drive. it only comes on at stop lights when at idle, when I give it some gas the light turns off. I pulled over to check the oil level, it was good. She ran fine all the way home. Anybody have any ideas what this could be? |

Would it be OK to drive with it for a day or two? |

assuming it is just a bad sending unit, then yes it will be fine to drive a few days. But if it's an actual low oil pressure condition at low engine speed, it could indicate a big problem. Best to change it out soon, so you will know. |

I changed the the sending unit last night, so far so good. Just want to say thanks for the help. |

Ha, the first time it happened on mine I freaked and pulled to side of the road. Shut off jeep. It went away when i started it again so figured it couldn't be an actual oil pressure problem. Not comforting for sure. |
