Hey there! I am new to this forum, pursuing my ultimate goal to be as much of a DIY'er with repairs and maintenance as I can…there is just something satisfying about knowing how all the parts move, connect and yaddi ya, saving money is an obvious incentive, so enough of all that, and on to my need for someones two cents. I have an 03 Liberty Limited and I need to replace the, yep you guessed it, light bulb under the shifter knob. I have read threads on how to get to the bulb to do this on new models, not older ones, any instruction you can give is appreciated. Since I haven't removed anything yet to get to the bulb to find the part #, if anyone knows what it is or what bulb can be used in place of the original one, I am all ears. Thanks in advance! |

Have to do some checking, mine burnt out 5-6 years ago, I never worry about it since I can tell what gear its in, but......... I'm not sure exactly where the light is but assume it's under the shift position display in the center console. If so go to viewtopic.php?f=3&t=59788 for a how to on removal of the center console which should get you far enough in to find the bad bulb and replace it. |
