Post subject:  Getting a weird smell in the jeep..
So my 04 kj is making this burning smell. You can mostly smell it in the cabin but I have smelled it under the coolant box kinda on the passenger side in the engine compartment. There is never any smoke at least none that I have seen and it has done it with the heat on, off, a/c on and off. Any ideas on what it could be or where to look?

valve cover gasket passenger side, leaks at the lower rear corner
easy fix , unbolt cover replace gasket done ( well move some things out of the way but pretty easy

Thanks for the input, I could smell it again the other day and had a spot to pull over. I popped the hood and saw a little smoke coming from rear valve cover area where the exhaust manifold connects to the exhaust pipe..so I think thats what it is. Man it has to be the one with everything on top of it :lol:
