OK. they got me with their website, it seems like a nice design, good spark plug then the price makes yo think it is good.
Out of the box they looked cheap, the welding had a lot of residue.
and this is what happened after two weeks. I got a misfire in cyl 5 and this is the spark plug.

As you can see, it seems that it broke or melted away. the coil also got some damage. I am not sure how this happened.
But just for your information. I'm going back to NGK.
I conatc ted them and I'm sending the plugs in since they have lifetime warranty but I want the money back.

Hey Wilfred can't say I ever heard of that brand before, didn't go to their site and don't plan on it for 'obvious' reasons. Some people making lite of what happened as well as myself surely appreciate you sharing what went wrong. We will all learn from it. Stick with the well known brands you can't go wrong. Hope nothing wound up in that cylinder......If it sounds to good to be true.....

never seen anything llike this before neither.
I would hink some stuff went in the cylinder, but not much, seems liek it was melted and came out since it was leaking.

plugs are on their way back, yeah they could stick them iun their favorite place, they actually offer me new plugs, I said no unless they get me NGK.

I have about 68k in my KJ and I dont know how often the plugs have been replaced before that (I am the second owner -the first was my auntie, who I'm sure babied the Jeep). The factory NGKs still looked good, but seemed to run very slightly on the lean side, since there was some fine white dusting around the plug (might be from cold air intake bringing excessive air).

I replaced with Autolite iridium plugs. Not much difference at all, except above 4k rpm, where the response seems to have improved. This probably makes sense since I only bothered to read the benefits of the plugs only after noticing the difference after driving for a while, and the claims seem to correlate with what I noticed. Perhaps it has a better spark above 4k rpm.

Maybe next time I'll get Denso or NGK iridium plugs, but for now these Autolites ($5.99 each at Kragen) seem to work great. The Densos I think are $9.99+ for the iridiums.

When I asked the guy at Kragen the main difference between platinum and iridium plugs, he says that the iridiums are better for stop and go driving (which I do a lot of), and tend to run hotter than the platinum plugs (which is good for naturally aspirated applications). He may have been confused slightly, since I know for a fact that iridium has a higher melting point than platinum (which btw also has an extremely high melting point), but it may not necessarily mean that iridium plugs run hotter.

I was looking at getting those E3 plugs also, but decided against it. Good thing I did.

I put a set of Denso Iridium in my libby about 6 months ago and noticed a much better idle and smoother accelration. I had a set of Champions in the truck for only a few months before I swapped this in. I think I paid 12.99 ea at Auto Zone. I think they are worth the money.

That thing is really cooked. The weak point in Libbies is cylinder 5. Looks like it leaned out really bad in that cylinder. Is the cylinder scorched? Maybe a fuel injector problem? Or playing around with N2O?
