Really really interested in this and believe a lot of us kj'er are. Does anyone know the compatibility of these hood on kjs that came without? i would thin aside from getting a hood, grill, and what is behind the grill from a flat hood donor it would work. I honestly honesty hope thats all there is to it. If anyone can clarify that would be awesome.

For '02-'04's it is a lot of work and parts to be worth it.You will need the grill, hood, grill support, front fenders, front bumper, all new lights(headlights and turn signals, they are different from older models),and then your still going to look funny since the '02-'04 rocker trim is completely different then '05+ KJ's and there is no fix for that.

I do. I like my flat hood. I prefer it, actually.

Really? I'm looking to buy a couple more but never a flat hood , wouldn't own one if it was free. Not sure what it is about them but just doesn't look like a KJ to me
Guess I like the curves just like a woman----like the curves on them as well  :ROTFL:

:ROTFL: :ROTFL: Ah, well yes I do
Thought sure I would spur some into a good debate on the styles of hoods on the KJs. But I guess not . :-)r

For an 2005 then, I would just need a header panel, grille, and a hood then? I will have to look at the 2005 parts fiche but I would think this is all you would need.

Flat bonnets (I'm English) look fine on Wranglers and XJs, but to me don't quite look right on a KJ - the vehicle is not square enough for it if you know what I mean. Just my 2p worth!

From what I can tell looking through the parts fiche is that there are several parts for the Renegade that are different.

HOOD - 55360667AC

GRILLE, Radiator- 5JR27AJCAD1
5JR27BJTAD1
5JR27CGVAD1
5JR27DX8AD1
5JR27WB7AD1
5JR27WE5AD1
5JR27WS2AD1
Based on the image in the parts fiche there is no holes for fog lights in the grille.
Part numbers are based on color, I didn't look for the color codes.

REINFORCEMENT, Grille Opening - 55156968AD

REINFORCEMENT, Hood Latch- 55360681AB

CONDENSER, Air Conditioning - 05143010AA
