I made this bracket to mount my Cobra 29. Its solid. 12 ga steel, it doesn't nudge. I also bent it to hug the contours of the headliner. And has three different bolt spacing to move radio forward or back. Turned out real nice and did it within my "lunch brake". Up next is install my visor light bar. Im gonna put leds under the radio and wire up to factory light.

I cant put it on the center console becuase i have ham radio and siren. Mounted on each side.

Cool idea! I really like how you used the mounting location for the sun visosr to mount it instead of having to drill or cut into the headliner! :D

Its the same way my visor fire lights mount.

I only have two holes in my headliner and thats for my mic mount. I made a backing plate to go behind it. And access behind the factory overhead light.
