Ac has worked fine and then this morning I got in and the ac will only work on the #3 or 4 setting. Works just like it should on those settings, but 1 or 2 the fan does not blow. You can still feel cool air coming from the vent but no blowing fan. Anyone have any ideas? No other issues with temp, etc.

From an old post

The brand is BWD and part number is RU1040 and is listed for a 2001-2004 Chrysler Sebring. To get to the resistor open the glove box then press inward on the latch arms on the left and right side to let it drop down further. The resistor is right there held on by two 5/16 hex head screws. You need to pull out on the red tab about 1/4" to push the release and it required some pressure to get the red tap to pull out.

Just for my knowledge, what about this is beefier? (do we have current specs for the original and this one?)

Thanks

The Standard Motor Products (SMP) version of this resistor is RU347. Available at RockAuto for $16.32 (at time of this post) :)

I definitely love the new blower motor resistor. It's a much beefier part than the old one.

Hmm I think this is what I need, my heat only blows on the #4 setting.
The other setting the fan won't blow at all. I'll try my local parts store and see if I can find that one.
