Sorry for leaving you with no news guys about my FCM problem. I went to Wales off-roading the weekend of 15th Nov with my KJ and I broke my Left hand side CV. The actual CV shaft broke inside the Diff and cracked the Aluminuim housing. So the PCM has been put on the back burner for now. I bought a second hand front Diff from a breakers and a brand new CV 1/2 shaft and repaired last weekend. All should be ok but when I turn right I hear some clunk sounds. I've got the feeling that comes from the suspension so I lifted the Jeep and removed both front wheels and checked but I can't find anything. Any ideas guys? |

Sway Bar Bushings is where I'd start. If there is still a constant clunking on one side or the other, then endlinks. |

How long has it been lifted? I just did both upper control arms and one of mine the ball joint was acceptable but a bushing had gone away making a clunking noise on bumps. |

Thanks for your input guys. My KJ has been lifted since Easter 2013. It's OME all round with Upper plates above struts and washers between clevis and struts and UCA and rear Y link from Marlyn at JBA with also extra Isolators above rear springs. So I lifted it again and put the Jeep on stands then loosened the bolts of Lower Control Arms and Clevis then lowered the jeep and let it rests on its own weight and then I re-tightened the bolts. It's much better now but there is still some noise but not when I turn it comes as soon as I drive passed some bumps. Nothing high just on usual degraded English roads. so I am going to grease the bushings of the sway bar and check the end links and maybe order new ones depending on how bad they are. |
