Does anybody have a write up for replacing the fuel pump on an '06 Liberty? Or just a little 'how-to' advice?

If nothing better shows up go to http://colorado4wheel.com/manuals/Jeep/KJ/ and get a copy of the 05 (06 too if you want but 05 illustrations are labeled and 06 ones are not) FSM and look at the Fuel System section.

Short version drop fuel tank and replace unit but it's not that simple.
