My wife's 2008 apparently needs the blend doors or motor repaired and according to her mechanic, it will cost $600 just to disassemble the dash...I seriously doubt this. I know on my Wrangler, it takes about 5 minutes to remove the dash and on my 2003 Liberty it didn't take much longer. Is there a write-up somewhere I could reference? Once the dash is off, is it possible to access the blend doors and motor from inside? Thanks!

Well the KK version of the Liberty is not the same as the KJ version or your Wrangler so all bets are off. Back in the day all you had to do was pop say 6 spring clamps to get into the HVAC system from the passenger compartment but things have been "improved" since then.

I did a bit of Googling on "jeep kk dash removal" and found viewtopic.php?f=104&t=76079 which might help. I also looked for "jeep kk factory service manual" and you can get the parts fiche at viewtopic.php?t=42849 but I don't offhand see a free PDF version of the FSM

I see you also have information awaiting you over on the KK side of LoST
