I have a 2010 Jeep Liberty. Never had a trailer hitch installed. I am looking at getting one for basic needs and need some advice on what the best hitches are. What are you guys using? Thanks |

The best is the OEM Mopar hitch. Other hitches are cheaper and will work as well, but won't give you as much ground clearance. It's the only one that is integrated into the bumper, other ones hang below the bumper quite a bit. |

I got a Curt hitch from Hitchweb. I like Curt the best since they make their products in the states. Hitchweb is a very reputable company if you're still looking for a hitch. I got mine in 1 day and didn't pay shipping. Here's their website if you wanted to take a look: http://www.hitchweb.com/hitch_search/view_hitches/yid/92/mkid/29/cid/5/mdid/1284/drid/3/smid/602/bbid/209/vid/37922/oid/8/bpid/6 |

im planning on buying or fabricating a square framed hitch. http://www.amazon.com/Reese-Towpower-37042-Multi-Fit-Receiver/dp/B000CQOIR8/ref=sr_1_1?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1425044260&vehicle=2012-42-353-141--9-6-8-7798-2586-1-1-113-78-4-0&sr=1-1&ymm=2012%3Ajeep%3Aliberty this one is adjustable, but should still be able to handle the load. you can save yourself some cash with this set up and stil function as stock. just buy a ball hitch and flip the ball over on the other side of the mount. like pictured below. or you could get an adjustable hitch which is more preferred. |
