I'm not sure if this has been posted before, but I have not seen it on this site or any others. I was digging around looking for info on a VIN for an 08 Grand Cherokee (diesel of course) when I stumbled across a build sheet for some random Jeep tat had a url from Jeep.com:

I replaced the VIN with the one I was looking for, and it worked! Then, I went into the parent section here:

It has a whole section where info can be obtained for any Jeep VIN:

I tried it on my 05, the 08 I was looking for, and the 14 GC I just sold and it worked great. I had used the e-mail service before and it was cool, but this is self service and instant. The build sheet here lists all the descriptions, just not the alpha-numeric sales codes. I found it very useful and hopefully you guys will too.

I've got the Limited version CRD with the options required to make the smart EVIC / 4-Tire Pressure picture 'possible' but not included. I just have the 'Tire Pressure Monitoring Warning LP'.
I'd still like to definitively figure out what I need to give me the smart picture.
The yellow lamp has been on in the dash since last August, even though the pressure in all 5 is correct. So I ordered 5 new pressure sensing units from RockAuto 3 weeks ago. On the morning that the delivery truck was scheduled to bring me the senders - the yellow light was (on for test during start, and turned off) off for 3 successive engine starts for 3 trips over 25 miles, and then came back on solid again.
I know the truck is doing it just to taunt me.
