I have a feeling I know the answer to this, but anyway: new General Grabbers on last August then I had JbA a-arms fitted. The front tyres are now very worn on the outside edge and the back tyres look almost new. I'm guessing that the shop DIDN'T check alignment/camber after fitting the arms. Am I right or is there another possible cause? I should say it wasn't a main dealer who did the fitting, but a Jeep expert in Southern England. |

Thats the way it seems, they installed the arms then never redid the alignment Are you sure they are " Jeep Expert??" |

Thanks Tom. Yes, the chap has a good name in building custom Jeeps, but had never worked on a KJ (actually, nor has anyone else over here as far as I can tell). So it seems like 2 new front tyres are required and an alignment! |

Yep, £200 worth of suck! That teaches me to always double check, and not simply rely on another's expertise. As lessons go, could have been a LOT more expensive! |

Unfortunate but a good rule of thumb is anytime you mess with the front suspension "stuff", excluding simple tire rotation, it's a good idea to have the alignment at least checked. |

Yep! Had it aligned; camber and castor were bang on manufacturers spec but the toe in on both tyres was so extreme that it couldn't generate a reading on the machine! Now rectified. I had a chat with the chap who installed the arms. He thought I'd be taking it for alignment after fitting, however he was somewhat mortified by the result (and by not checking with me that I'd be doing that) that I'm getting the next job he'll be doing at a substantial discount. |

Sounds like he's going to make up for it at least
