I couldn't find any good threads about this and I decided to create one. I have a light bar coming in the future and was curious how to get these off. It is very easy to remove to remove them. This example shows the front passenger side. You will need a flat screwdriver or other slim flat object. I have not removed the rears, but I assume they are about the same to do. 1. Insert screwdriver under tab, pry up gently and outward. ![]() 2. Work the tool to the rear of the cover while pulling outward and soon it will be off.

Out of curiosity: There aren't any weird perforations under the rubber stripping in front of or behind those roof rack supports that will let water in, are there? Does anyone know for sure? I mean, I know it'd be foolish to put extra holes in the roof of a vehicle, but I don't know for certain what holds the rubber strips down that otherwise run from the windshield to the front support, then between the front/rear supports, and then back to the lift gate glass. Glue/adhesive? Double sided tape? I dunno. |

It's always better having a clue what you're getting into before peeling off something that might cost too much $$ to replace if you just pull. I appreciate the info. |
