Can anybody fill me on on what winch mount options (front receiver mount, bumper options, etc) there are for a '05 Liberty Sport?

Front Reciver, Rock Lizzard Front Bumper and ARB. Thats it.

Actually, Rock Lizard front bumpers are not winch mount, thus the better aproach angle and lighter weight than the ARB. You can use a cradle mount as there is a reciever in the RL bumper for that purpose.

Anyone stress test the RL bumpers at Moab? Last I heard it sounded like they were cleaning about everything they tried.

What do you mean by this?

Cleaning everything they tried?

As for the illusive "they" I have the prototypes, so I did the tests, What do you want to know?

Sounds like to me he meant CLEARING everything they tried.

Could be clearing....

I did play buldozer with it at moab, and even being only 1/8" I barely bent it, and the mounts are fine.

As for stress testing. I did highlift the front end with it and it held up fine. And last week as I was upset that I did not get to use my winch at MOAB, I winched our HMMWV at work out of a ditch with it and the bumper showed no movement.

Yep, I put the HMMWV in the ditch on purpose, it wasn't really stuck, but was in nuetral and the ditch did provide some resistance versus rolling on concrete.

Sorry, an old motorcycle term from when I rode Trials and enduros.
Cleaning a section meant in trials to make no mistakes, not to ride outside the narrow course and not having to dap (put your foot down) though out a section. Another words you were getting through perfectly.

Don't be scared off by the ARB's weight. According to ARBSETH it only weighs 75 lbs., not 150 lbs. as many have tried to lead us to believe. Go with the ARB. It's awsome.

Basically, there are now options for bumpers.

ARB if you want winch mount

Rock Lizard if you do not

Neither is stronger than the other, we dented both at Moab. It all comes down to your preference. I wanted the winch removeable and did not like the style of the ARB, so I went with Rocklizard. Others do not like the style of RockLizard, so they will go ARB.

It is your Jeep, make it yours.

Actually NO my good man.

MY 05 LTD CRD has been going backwards & forwards to the TJM R&D workshop for the past few weeks now, getting a whole stack of KJ accessories made up for her!!
List includes:

TJM Full Replacement Front Winch Bar
Front IFS/Diff Skid/slider plate
Oil/Tranny to Crossmember/transfer case skid
Nudge Bar

The nudge bar has been on my car for a wek now & looks bloody lovely. It has excellent clearance & have put it through a serious test last weekend at Arcot Station here in Australia. The bashplates coped a flogging & held up extremely well. They are thicker & cirtainly stronger than the OE units, and are this purdy little rainbow style colour from an new type of Zinc coating.

I am waiting in HUGE anticipation to see what the 1st model of the front bar looks like. Its going to have the winch mounted lower & tucked in alot furthur than the ARB one, giving it a better approach angle, & not set so far out from the car hence inducing front end overhang & sag. The winches that TJM are part of are the OX Hydraulic winches. I'm not sure if i'll get one yet, but we'll see how we go.

THE BEST NEWS IS: Its going to be available in either ALLOY or STEEL, so you carb conscious people out there car have a lightweight front bar that wont affect suspension sag - like me!!

There are a few pics here & there on the AJOR forum. I'll see if i can dig up a few. Front Bar hasnt been fitted to the car yet, so probably next week.

Here is a mock up that one of the Australian blokes whipped up in about 2 sec flat. This is GENERALLY what I think it will look like (in alloy) its a bit rough, but you get the idea.

Uh yeah lol!! I had some weird log in issue that stuffed me right up. I have 2 different computers I use with different email addresses ect. I had to completely redo all my user name & log in ect one day - really weird, not sure what happened.

How do you mean, "what is the deal on the spare tyre?"

hehe, here i am again, but as CRDSTU this time!! lol!

Today I saw what the TJM bar is going to look like and, OMFG, what a sensational bar. I may have given you folk a bit of a bum steer when i said it will probably look like the one in the above pics/posts, but is is nothing like it. In general, if you look at the ARB website (tsk tsk) have a look at a SAHARA bar & you will get an idea of basically what she looks like. The one for the 100 series Landcruiser is the closest I can see to what the KJ one looks like.

It suits the KJ soooooo much. Its is stylish yet functional, ruggered yet polished & poised!! lol!! The main difference is that where the ARB has the rubber extention parts on the front, the TJM does not. They look a bit goorky imo.

Check it out, what do you think?

On the pics of the back of your rig there is a spare tire guard or some such. It looks hinged on the left. Just interested if it was a guard and if it truly protects the rear tire. Looking for a pic of the new winch bar as I can get free shipping from Aus and I am looking for something like you describe.

Thats a standard thing that comes with the car here in Australia. I believe the ADR (Australian Design Rules) made Jeep fit it for Compliance reasons. The licence plate has to be clearly visable, centralised (i think) & illuminated.

On my last KJ i tried converting the rear of my car to look like yours in the States!! Ironic isnt it?!! lol!! but i think i;ll leave this one ;)

TJM Front bar will look great, i cant wait to have it fitted. It will be around 2 weeks before the finished product goes on the front of my car i believe.
I'll cirtainly keep this thread posted.

Cheers,
CRDSTU & OzLtd lol!!
