How would an OME spring turn out mounted on a new OEM strut? Thinking about going OME springs, long ome shock in the rear with a stock OEM set of new struts, maybe top plate and rear isos to get to 3", need some input.

The OME struts are valved specifically to coincide with the springs (impulses?), anyhow, it would ride crappy if you do that. Likely even dangerous on a lifted SUV, don't risk your life. :2cents:

Yes what they said, stock OEM "shocks" are junk from the get go, team them up with a good set of springs and they will wear the new springs out faster

Would bilsteins be a viable option to go with instead, are they much cheaper at all?

I run Bilstein struts with OME coils. Happy with them overall and they have held up far better than my previous set of Monroes

I run OME/Bilstein. Works great. Not sure about the fronts, but I know the rear Bilsteins are cheaper than OME.

Yes Bilstiens will work with OME springs although the OME front shocks are valved to work in conjuction with the springs
But about half the lifts we have done here at my place were the Bilstien/ OME setups
