Post subject:  Passenger seat airbag module
So I swapped seats, and unknowingly threw away the "sensor inside?" the passenger seat. Anyhow, I have the airbag control module. Can I get away with just swapping this "airbag brain" in to accompany the seats, or am I doomed to pay the Stealership $170 for "recalibrating" the system?

bumping this to see if anyone has the know-how to save me from having to go to the dealer :grim: I'm sure they will wipe tunes, and turn $170 into $1700 and tell me that's what they quoted... :cry:

Oh, I'd just try the accompanying brain in this vehicle, but I'm really nervous to do any experimenting with the airbag system :frankie: :dead:

:banghead: The part numbers for the Airbag brains are different. Just the last few digits, but now I really need someone that knows this system. I was going to try it, but deploying the airbag would not be cool, although I do have a spare :frankie:

Alright, according to myairbags.com the modules are VIN specific. So, it's a pipe dream. I guess I'll call every chrysler stealership within 100 miles and see if anyone will scalp me for less and stand by their fix...
