Guys,

Is there any way of disabling the annoying warning chime that happens every time I open the door with the key in the ignition when the engine is off? I mainly use my Cherokee CRD (KK) for controlling foxes (lamping as its called in the UK) & regularly cause myself problems when jumping out of the car to take a shot off my bonnet (hood) leaving the keys in with the engine off.

I'm hoping its something simple to do like stopping the seatbelt warning chime?

On the US ignition the cross shaft that connects the lock cylinder to the electric switch pushes a contact in when pushed by the key. Disable this contact or maybe cut a 1/16in off the shafts end?
