I have a 2005 Liberty CRD....I have gone through 2 sets of BFG AT/TA/KO 245/76/16.....It was time for new tires so I decided to go with Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac 245/75/16 (same size)...The new tires hit the sway bar on full lock and have hit the inner fender liner at the rear on going over some railroad tracks.....I really like the look of the new tires but I don't want to do a lift to be able to keep them ( the tire dealer said I have a few days to return them).....Are there any options other than a lift to help me be able to keep these tires? HJ

All tires are not created equal. They can be a bit different in measurement and shoulder tread design can make a difference.

Be sure and check your Rear Control Arm and make sure the joint/bushings are still in good condition.

You could add Mr Gasket 2370 wheel spacers (.21") to get them away from the liner.

(Sorry, somehow with my Posting Authority, My post came in under YOUR Moniker)

Something minor (cheap)? I dont go off road....I don't want to mess with drive shafts being short or what other problems that come with a lift...HJ

Or am I just better off going with 235/75/16 Duratracs? HJ

If you were able to run that size when your suspension waa fairly fresh you could always grab a new set of springs from rock auto, or go full out and replace struts and shocks as well

You'd think with D.O.T.'s nose so firmly embedded up the tire industry's arse it would be different, but there's really no industry wide standards for tire sizes.

Gotta do this today....Don't want to push it and have to keep these tires.....Belle Tire has been pretty good so far....HJ

* looks like I have to settle for 225/75/16 since they dont make a 235/75/16....Damit! 2 inches narrower

HERCULES and many others make a 235/75/16 in ATs.

235/75 is pretty common.

I got me a pair of 235/85's even... Stupid skinny.
