I pulled 8 stumps with my jeep yesterday! Man it was awesome! Okay, so they were the stumps from some overgrown bushes, but the trunks were about 4 inches in diameter and they had extensive root systems. [/img]
Some took a couple extra pulls, but no peanut butter was required. |

Nice looking stump puller...............Did you just hook a rope onto your tow hitch? |

Used a 15000lb recovery strap. One end hooked onto my hitch, the other end hooked on a "lifting strap" that would tighten as you pulled. Had to use something that would pull tight, the first recovery strap slipped off the top and eventually broke. I think I was actually more proud when I broke a 15000lb recovery strap than when I pulled a stump |

Before ever using the winch for an off-road recovery, it came in handy as a landscaping tool!

![]() Hi Jack...very long time since I've been here. Seems we have a common friend that attended one of your seminars a couple weeks back. He mentioned that you were talking about your Libby. As for the stump puller...unfortunately, I got stumped. I dug down about a foot, tied the tow strap, and started to pull. After a little tire digging, the so-called 20,000 lb strap broke. Things been mocking me for the last year now... |
