We got our first snow last night here in KY. As I got ready to head out I wondered where I could find a General Guide to 4 Wheeling. While my KJ is not my first 4X4, it has a VERY long time since I had my 4X4 F150 in New England in the early 90s. Is there a basic tutorial anywhere I could read to give me an idea of what to do, and more importantly, not to do when I am out and about in 4 wheel drive?

The question came to me because when I got my KJ I read about the difference in Part Time and Full Time drive and while I understand the mechanical difference, I do not know the practical difference.

Full time is like all-wheel-drive.
Good for wet/snowy pavment and dirt roads.

Part time is 4wd.
Good for soft sand, mud, and deep snow.
