Hey folks. I'd like to upgrade my headlights significantly. Does anyone have any recommendations?

I run Silverstar ultras.
Autozone had them for around $50 or so.
It's more of a white light than yellow.
Great investment.

A proper HID retrofit...not just sticking HID bulbs in your stock housing.

They may look unusual to some but the light output and distribution pattern is amazing. Not only can I see better in front of me but to the sides as well. I do most of my driving at night on back roads and now I can see the deer well before they jump in the road lol.

Infiniti projectors are what many use in the car moddz world, but if you plan to keep it a while, check carefully on the replacement costs for ballasts and bulbs. The prices vary widely depending on the type you decide on.

Just take your time to align them correctly before final assembly, make finer adjustments using the stock mechanism. Paint the reflector black or whatever colour you choose, the bulb doesn't need it.

I don't care for the sharp upper cut off on HIDs personally. I find that you are 'blind' on hills unless you have a hi/lo system or an auto-angle adjustment. Not all HIDs are hi and lo beam and angle adjustment is fancy MB or BMW type of kit...

personally I would rather just have a good set of driving lights
I grew up where the nearest town is 25-30 minutes away, nearest Walmart etc is over 60 so I know back roads
I still have yet to see a set even on new cars that does what my driving lights do, plus not blinding anyone since I switch them off for on coming cars
