OK I need some advice to any of you out there into imports, or sport trucks and TJ's with the air ride suspension.

Custom made rear springs $400. with shipping.

3.5 to 17 inch 2600 pound air bags $220. Air compressor and fittings $250. Air tank (optional) $150 with shipping

Which suspension system?? The bags are more expensive, but you get the added bonus of having an on board air supply and I can increase the rear height on the trail.

Wait there is more.....I think I may have found a way to bag the front!!!!
Not tellin, Not yet

I really like how you can adjust the firmness of the air bag suspensions for towing and such. I would go that route if possible. Plus, it's another toy for the Liberty.

If the liberty were designed in such a way as to be able to easily operate at different heights, I would say go with the adjustable air-ride. It would be great to be able to ride low on the road and crank it up a few inches (feet?) for the trail. But I really don't see a Liberty changing height by that much just by inflating airbags....there are just too many other parts.

Now if you want an excuse to buy an accessory that comes with onboard air, go with an ARB locker! :-)

Haha, I guess we know who voted for what.

Anyway, My brain hurts when I think about it, but does anything except the toe-in change when lifting the front? Im purty sure it doesnt, so a mild airbag lift wouldnt be that hard to do, for Jeepin Al that is. 8)

The rear would be a snap. I know some of the air-bags would fit nicely inside those BIG rear springs. Im not to sure what kind you used on your 5.5in lift though. Some lifts come with smaller springs, the ome are the same DIA as the stock ones. I know rustys for one uses smaller springs. Maybe thats why they sag?

Yea, airbags.

Won't adjusting the ride height also adjust the transfer case height, the angle of the drive shaft, (pinion?), and some other not so good stuff? I say that if it's possible to airbag it without messing with everything else, than yeah. But those custom springs sound like a solid, easier solution. Then you'll quit messing with the back and start paying more attention to fixing the front suspension! Plus, I'm sure there are a few more people on here that would go for some longer rear springs, in anticipation of their own mods...group buy????

Air bags are cool, I have them on my RV. Sounds like a nice addition.

If you can't adjust the front the same as the rear airbags are useless imo also i have seen way to many airbags blow.
