Does anyone's four wheel drive shifter lite up at night - so you can see it? - - like the tranny shifter does............... mine doesn't and I couldn't find anything in the owners manual.

No. It does not light up in any KJ (aside from custom jobs).

It would be nice if it lit up.......I wonder if there's an easy way to do it???

Bighause said he had a 97xj that was lighted. I wish I could look at one that lights up to try to figure it out. I wonder if anyone has one they could look at?

What's the point with the dash indicator?
Not trying to crash anyone's party, just wondering...

actually, I have noticed that my Part Time will light up every once in a while. This has been happining for the last week. I do not know why it is doing this. All I do is push down on the shifter and it goes out.

I wonder. Is any one else having this issue??????

With the ones that light up, the different positions were not on the handle, they were beside of it. It would be hard to get lights IN the handle.

It looks like it might be a real pain to do that.
