I removed my front tow hooks and reinstalled them with the MOPAR hardware from Savage Jeep. I had heard about its availability here. Thanks.

The hooks are from eBay and I'd had them on for a couple years with some homemade hardware -- allthread rod. I'd never gotten myself around to removing the bumper cover and inserting some stronger bolts.

In the picture is an electrical cable I had bent to use as a pattern, the allthread rod I had been running, and the factory piece. Some of the first allthread attempts cracked as I was bending it up, so I was not confident about it.

Thats kinda cool. Im sure it wasnt near as strong as the factory hardware, but seemed to do good. If you would of heated up that "all-thread" bolt it wouldnt of cracked.

Not too bad for a home fab.
I agree with heating up the rod. It would not crack if you get it red hot and slowly bend it.

I really need to install my tow hooks. But I have to take off my bull bar and remove the bumpber cover in order to get to the freaking nuts to go on to the M-bolt......

I keep telling my self that one day this will happen but today aint the day!
