| Post subject: | Liberty Grill guard help needed! |
Well I'm looking to get a grill guard for my girlfriends liberty, does anyone have any recommendations (If you have any photos of your rig with the grill guard on that would be great. Let me know what brand you have and how much tit roughly cost. I have looked on E-bay and other sites and I'm having trouble finding anything. So this is where your imput will help out. What I have found on line has a wide range in costs from 250.00 to 525.00 and I'd hate to order it and see the quality is lacking for that kind of cash. I also looked at the ARB style but that's just a little too pricing and the additional weight is not going to help with gas mileage. Thanks All. This is the style that I'm looking for:

I have been looking and I think I stopped at page 10 or 12. There is a great deal of talk about the ARB bumper but that is too much for what she needs. I would just hate to buy something off E-bay and find out that the product is crap or it does not fit right. That's why I posted here to get feedback from members who have purchased grill guards and how well they like them. Come on guys post up some feedback about your grill guards! |

Here is the one I have on mine.
It's made by Manik. Looks like it's about $490 from JCWhitney. I bought the jeep with the brush guard already on it. I think it's a nice look on the KJ and I haven't had any problems bumping it on that rocks in Moab. |

I've got the same one as 1stJeepKJ. I've been very happy with it. I got it Christmas morning and had it installed that afternoon. |

The design looks very similar to mine. The only difference is the way the bars bend around the headlights. That one has a more square look to it, while mine is rounded off. If you trust the seller and like the look, I would go for it. |

R.I.P This was the brushguard I had before I wrecked the frontend of the KJ and therefore I upgraded to ARB My opinion: looks good but is useless |

shack What was the problem? Was it too loose at he top or what? I'm also looking for one but it must leave a hole for a front receiver for my winch. |

These really are more for cosmetics and mounting lights. If you want something hardcore, you really do need to go with an ARB. I'm not sure how much of a hit they will really take (except for pushing Hondas around |

couple of things..... these brush gurads mount to the frame which is pretty low compared to the top of the guard. In case of an accident what happens is, the force is exerted in the middle of the guard pushing it back and since the guard is only mounted via bolts, it bends back and in my case messed up the hood and the top of the radiator. in case of se7enLC, Id say just throw in a couple for benjamins and go for the reliality of an ARB instead of getting a brush gurad and a receiver. Trust me, they are 100% Honda proof |
