Post subject:  Factory Installed Roof Rack?

I just received the build sheet for my 02 Limited Liberty. According to that, my Jeep came with an "MWGS Roof Rack"
Needless to say, I do not have that anymore, as I bought this used. Anyone know what this Factory Jeep roof rack looks like? Or where can I get one?
Or, does this just mean I have roof rails (wich I still have)?

The letters MWGS is the standard code for a roof rack across the DC line. It probably means rails, some rails come with crossbars like on the Grand Cherokees. Maybe somone else knows more.

let me research if it says that for the the standard roof rails. I am at work at a dealership...so I will check into it today.....That may just be the code for the rails not cross bars....

Thanks for all your help guys. I was just curious, because I have roof rails, with no cross bars.

Ok check a few vin codes for the actual sales codes. The M series code should stand for the side rails. I have an 05 Renegade and the code is MWZS-rugged roof rails. I also looked at an 03 liberty and its code was MWGP-roof rack.......I believe that code is the side rails, I dont believe they ever came with actual cross rails in the past plus there should be 4-5 different rail codes because they have changed them depending on the body.

hope this helps

Thanks. It does help. Was not all that important, just wanted to know.

Do you know what the DG4 Multi Speed Auto 45RFE Transmission is?

The 45fre is the standard auto transmission on the liberty plus there are two options for manual the NV1500 and the 3550. Some Chryslers have two to three different trannies depending on the engine options.
