I've got a persistant squeek in the rear comming from somewhere, I need some advise on a good rubber bushing lube, I've tried silicone, and some other dry lube. Still it squeeks, anyone got a good liquid lube for bushings?

I've tried lubing everything with numerious different lubes still squeeking. I've narrowed it down to squeeking more or only when acceleratating, could this mean that when rear end torques under acceleration the ball joint is binding? Anyway to lube it? Has this happened top anyone? I've got 50,000 miles and 2 weeks hard driving in Baja. This is driving me nuts. Thanks

Might want to check the rear upper tri-link ball joint, that could be the squeak, bad axle bearing,or bad u-joint can be at fault to.

Any good grease will do the trick and safe on rubber.

Ok I lubed the heck out of everything, still the squeek is there. How can I tell if the rear ball joint is bad? Has anyone else replaced theirs? I have 50,000 miles should it wear out so soon? How hard is it to replace? Thanks gregg.

Try rocking the car back and forth with tranny in Park. Dont use the E brake. Have someone take a look under the car at the tri link. If your diff housing jumps up and down then your ball joint is toast.

See my howto for howto....:D (already posted above maybe you missed it)

I saw your link, thanks, that's why I thought it might be my ball joint, did yours squeek before you replaced it?

Yep it made a squiky noise.

We went out on the trails last Friday....Now mine started squicking too (again..)! Seems either a shock or the spring, I'll check it tonight and let you know.

I just replaced the ball joint in the upper tri-link. But, it was because of a torn boot.
