Post subject:  seat covers

I dont really know what forum to put this in, so I'll try this one. I want a set of dark seat covers for my khaki interior(worst mistake I ever made was a light interior) I would like some fairly cheap ones, but i want a good fit, anyone have them?

Better place would be in General discussion as more will see it and be able to respond. I am also in the same boat w/ my wifes new KJ and looking for a good set of seat covers. I hear Wet Okoles are Great but $$$$$.

Light brown leather looks nice but high maintenance.

I have the same light brown leather and am looking for something inexpensive - just to put on when going off road or changing the oil etc so I don't mess em up. So my main concern is the drivers seat. I'm about ready to get anything and keep it under the drivers seat for when I need it.

I got a set of heavy duty canvas ones from cabelas.com....
They have there own brand called trail gear and another which both styles are exactly the same. There are 6-8 colors to choose from between the two labels....It was 109 for the fronts and rear cover in camo/black two tone. I am really happy with them because they have taken abuse from me and my dog The cinch up the sides and have back pockets which r a bonus

Okay, this is a bit off topic, but I thought it might be good to bring up. I have an '03 with the light grey interior and I have been trying to get the stains out of the seats since I got it. I even took it in to a pro shop to get detailed and they couldn't get the stains out completely. (The stains: kid stuff. Pop, juice, chocolate, and whatever kids do while they are in the back seat. I'm not sure I really want to know). I tried all the automotive upholstery shampoos, and some of them even made the mess worse. Then I tried OXI CLEAN spray ("for laundry, carpet, and beyond") and this stuff got every last tiny bit of stain out of the seats, including what I imagine was potato chip grease. The seats look brand new again. No food in the car please. :D

I had the Mopar seat covers in my 2002...they are not cheap but well worth it...I 4Wheeled and did Triathlons...the seats looked like new when I traded it in in 2006 with 70,000 miles. I had the light tan leather and the seats are skin suit black but they actually looked good in the KJ.

So far the quality has been good on mine, I have had the covers on a little over a year so they have been exposed to a great deal of the elements. I have a 90 pound Lab goes with me almost everywhere and she given the covers a good workout. To date there are no lose threads, or any sign of wear. If I recall I believe the covers are made in California, but don't hold me to that. I would give them a call about the 04 and newer, they may not have updated their webpage.

I have the yellow ones for my wife's 2003 Renegade. Got some comments every now and then, all positive. Definitely recommended.

Not neoprene, though.
