Recently my dog decided that the seat belt, keeping her from jumping in my lap while driving, was far too delicous not to eat. As a result I am now in need of replacing said seat belt. I have already purchased the part from the dealer, and it seems pretty straight forward. The catch is that the little access panel that looks like it should allow you to remove the spool part of the assembly doesn't really give you enough room to see the spool, let alone remove and replace it. My question really is: Has anyone had to replace one of the rear seat belts before, and were you able to perform the replacement without removing the entire interior panel??? |

Sorry to hear that man. I put hot sauce on mine so my dog wont go to town on it. I think the entire pannel needs to come off. I heard a friend of mine say that a while ago. He had to do the same thing. I might be wrong, but I think that was what I heard him say. |

Castor Oil and cayenne pepper is a good trick to use. We've used it to keep the dog from chewing the legs on our dining room chairs, and my fiance has used it to keep the horses from eating their stall. |

I keep my dog in a harness that's attached a 6' leash looped through the center car seat anchor on the back of the rear seat. She's not a chewer but if she was I'd only have to replace a leash. Just a thought. |
