When I turn (predominantly left for some reason) there is a binding, clunking type sound in the front end. It has also started to happen on acceleration at times. I can not figure out where it is coming from. Ball joints? U-joints? Who knows?

I've heard a similar sound from bad CV joints on a Toyota (started with a torn boot and losing grease) - I haven't heard it on the Liberty but that's what I'd check out.
