Does anyone know what the max amps the electrical connector on the factory tow package is? The reason for the question is.. If I run heavy duty welders cable to the connector, will it hold for using it to connect a winch?

I doubt it, if you look at the wires already on there you'll see that they're not very substantial. You'll probably melt the plastic housing when the winch is under load. Warn makes some quick disconnects which would probably be a good idea: http://www.warn.com/truck/accessories/q ... _all.shtml
