I am going to mount some lights on my roof rack pointing behind me for some more light when backing up. Anyone have suggestions about which lights have worked well for this purpose and which haven't? I figured fog ligths would be good. Stephen |

Stephen I'm looking into this as well. What I'd like is a multi-purpose light, something you can use for backing up as well as lighting up the tailgate area. Problem is, where do you mount it? If you put it on the roof rack pointing down, it works great for backing up, but the flipper glass gets in the way when you want to use it to light up things behind while the gate is open. If you mount it low and on/under the bumper, it doesn't do as well for backing up, and it gets in the way offroad. I found these recently that I was going to try to use. Can't beat a $10 light!

I thought you had that White Night back up light. Am I wrong or did it not hold up too long? |

Funny this is being posted...I've looked at 4WheelPart and found that Pro-Comp rectangle fog lights ($35 a pair and can't think of their technical term) look to be the best and the pair look nice between the vertical bars of the rack on mine..they said they'd wire it for me too though but that would cost an extra $135 or more, the guy said it was an estimate, so I guess it could be less too but I doubt it... |

I am looking into doing this as well. But I am looking into something that will have more function then just a backing up light. Maybe something like this?? What do you think?

The white night lights are still working and working well, but I would like a little more. You can never have enough lights! I found some high impact floods at Kragen's for $12 a piece, may try those. Thanks for all the replies, most helpful. Stephen |

I'm looking at a light bar that will fit in the hitch reciever, then I would wire both front and rear for the lights and could put it whereever I need the light. |

BRIGRAT GREAT POST! That's exactly what I've been looking for, what a great product. Are you sure that will fit the Libby's specific plug-in? I do believe they are all universal? I know the plug for my boat fits both my dads Tahoe, and mine....... |
