Well guys im at work down here in Laughlin, and what do i see but a caravan of new jeep wranglers commin down the road. So I eventually go over to look and one of the people comes over and starts talking to me about them. She was one of the R & D folks. Anyhoo, there was a green 4 dr a blk 4dr and 3 2drs and one was a unlimited and one was a rubi. And get this they were All European CRD's. She was talikng about the new engines etc. And i got to sit in them, I could kick my self for not having a camera. But man are they nice..... |

Sweet. Does that mean they are going to introduce a diesel wrangler soon after the release of the new model year? I would have to think hard about trading the KJ in on a new unlimited rubi. |

Im sure lots of folks on the CRD forum could kick you too!! I would love to see that. Would love it even more if I saw a CCV filter fitted on them. CRD + 4:1 low range + 4.11 gears would make for a good rockcrawler straight from the factory. |

Well she only answered a few of my questions, the rest were "I cant tell you anything answers" The engines were 2.8 VM's but she said they were redeisgned with the "Panther modifications" not really sure what that ment. She also did say that there will not be a US or Canadian version wrangler CRD's this year (07).... |
