Where's the tractor tire, empty beer cans, rusted out washing machine, old truck missing tires on cinder blocks and pile of bleached animal bones?????
Man you've got a lot of work to do to make it feel like the old Mudd's Garage!

FINALLY they opened the front diff and found problems. :pepper:
Apparently, one of the pinion bearings failed and moved in the housing causing the pinion gear to move. They replaced the gears with Dana Spicer's and of course new bearings. The loud noise is now gone as is the vibration. There is a little noise right now but I expect that to go away when the gears wear in.
Now I can breath a huge sigh of relief and finish my jeep. Is seems to have more power too, there must've been a lot of friction in there.
Tires and rims are next, pro comp extreme mud terrain. Garenteed 35000 miles :D (they look cool too lol)

Hey Ted how is the True Trac in the rear behaving? I'm a little hesitant to put mine in. Mine broke traction the other day at 55mph on a wet road with the open diff when I stepped on the gas. Worrying it'll be worse with the locker.

 wow, how'd you manage that without snow on the road lol. It's much harder to break traction with two tires. I absolutely love it. It actually feels like I have more control than I did before. I think you'll have a much harder time spinning your tires with it installed.

Do they suck? The design looks ok, I don't care about tire noise and they have a 35000 mile warranty. The Mickey Thompson TTC's don't seem like they'll last long enough and may be questionable in snow.
If you've got some knowledge buried away somewhere I'd love to hear it. I really wasn't looking at them till I spoke with a guy on his fourth set, he loves them.

Ted that's great news. Finally, eh? :banghead:

What about Treadwright Guard Dogs? Pretty impressive reviews, the price is right and they have an aggressive tread pattern.

Tom, that office looks great - I think... :juggle:

I looked at Treadwright a couple years ago and decided to go with a different tire although I did like them.
For the cost of these things I can't beat it and thIe info I've been able to find is pretty positive, I haven't found anything negative yet. They were designed and most likely made by a very reputable company, Maxxis I think. The rubber has silica in it and they release mud relatively easily. 40000 mile tread life and a huge discount for my troubles with the axles.
I had my heart set on a st of TTC radials but these ones looked a little better in the way of winter traction and tread wear.
Also, it looks like 31x10.5x15 will fit like a glove. They're almost the same size as the 245/75-16's that are on it now, just a bit taller and a bit wider.

Great job :google:
The first couple weeks are the worse. I quit in 1994 and it was one of the best decision I've ever made. :pepper:

That's about when I quit, and you are absolutely right about the first few weeks. Hang in there - it gets easier eventually. :)

With this move I'm ready to start smoking.................something
Original plan was to get a U-Haul and do a all in one move, but problem is would of taken me too long to load it all by myself since they just give ya a couple of days total :furious:
So moving everything one trailer load at a time :banghead:
Kitchen, both bathrooms, 2 bedrooms, half the living room and half of the stuff in the den down there so far. Thanks to Chris for helping unload some of it
I'm too old and out of shape for this crap  :ROTFL:

OH yes ......
when I bought the KJ it had 101 miles on it from them delivering it to me
first thing was install a hitch, hook up the trailer and start moving to the Port Clinton area,
today with the same trailer on behind it , moving me again, it turned over 200,000 miles
well over 200,000 since it reads a little slow
