I have to give credit where it's due. 4WD Hardware replaced my front trutrac with an E-Locker. The thing just wouldn't stop making that darn whining noise. The gears looked good so I'm guessing there was a bad bearing or the trutrac had something wrong with it.
Anyway, I just wanted to say something. Hopefully, this year I'll make it to the ECS.

Hey Ted! Happy to see you are still around and that they finally got you all fixed up on that locker situation !

It's actually fun to drive again. Something was binding because my mileage was like 12mpg. I just filled up yesterday so we'll see what happens. Compared to before, it feels like I'm going downhill all the time lol.

i'm down, probably later in the summer time though, gimme time to put my ome springs i just got on here. getting ready to relocate sometime between now and august to SEO from NEO... but i know exactly where southington orp is i go out to warren all the time. and hartville isn't far. if i didnt live right outside downtown (aka no land whatsoever) i'd say m&g at my house. when i move down to athens i'll be down to host anyone that wants to come down.

Ill only be an hour or so (traffic) from you now that the bypass is done and kicking through nelsonville/lancaster. By the time i get money saved up for shocks and everything ill probably be in athens, so if your up for helping someone new on an ome lift ill probably be coming up to see ya!

Yes. Some are tougher than others. I run them all in my kia, and when I had a kj I ran them.

:pepper: I've been wanting to check those old roads out for awhile. Are there maps available? You can pm me if you want.

They are on county road maps. Problem is you have to know what's what.

There are several groups that run 4 or 5 old roads near tar hollow state park. Those are just the beginning. I can run all over hocking and vinton counties on unimproved roads. We regularly go and investigate roads.

Lots of roads in that area ranging from just good roads to cruise on to some that are on the iffy side of the law.
I have a good friend who was a Township Trustee down there for several years. We ran a lot of them when I lived down there in Jackson County near the Vinton County line. Some of the ones that people use are still on the maps and you can get by running them although like mentioned some are iffy anymore . Couple fo great places the timber companies bought all of the land around the roads and convinced the County Commissioners to completely shut the off to traffic.
But if I can find another rear diff ( perferably with 4.10s  too make the swap easy, ) I'm up for a trip back down there.
May even talk Elvis into coming along

I know Donnie ^^^^^ ( posted above) has been on every road down there I'll bet so he'd know where to go to keep you out of jail :ROTFL: :ROTFL:
Trust me you do not want to go to jail down there, they don't even bring the fiddles out before ................................
