TACKLING THE LIFT AND SWAY BARS TOMORROW

ok so me and josh will be attempting to get these conduit nuts and rear pads on. we dont have jobs currently so we have some time. what all do i need to remove and what size bolt is on the rear sway bar? we have plenty of time to do this but i want it done tomorrow

Just like doing a lift if you remember what you did before

jack up the rear, put jack stands under the frame, remove tires, unbolt the bottom of the shock
lower rear diff and remove springs, to install pry down on one side and reinstall spring after you put the isolator in ( or you can stick the factory jack between the caliper and frame and use that to spread it open to get the spring in, other side the same reinstall tires, bottom shock bolts and go to the front

same jack up/jack stands, remove clevis bolt, sway bar upper control arm nut / loosen arm , etc etc etc etc etc etc you know the drill or should since you have been to a couple of lift parties and if you paid any attention at all you will get it :wink:

thats actually what i thought was all i had to do. what size is the bolt?

bolt for sway bar? Not sure mind is foggy from the good legal drugs for the cold I am on, whatever fits it though :lol:

you don't have to remove it to install the isolators though unless you just want to take it off, and if so they can be a real pain if you have any rust at all and no air tools

Matt, if I remember, the swaybar was a 15mm, the clevis bolt was 19, the nut was a 21mm. Basically that will be all the tools you need, good ratchet, some larger MM sockets. The rear lower shock mount bolt was a 15 & 18 mm I believe...we did it in april, so I maybe a little foggy. Just make sure you got the opposite wheel chocked well and use jack stands.
Tom, the bolts should be okay, I replaced all the springs for him in April. Oh, you may want to find a short piece of pipe to fit over your ratchet, I did put some torque on them when you were at my house.

You removed the sway bar and then reinstalled it

i just removed the bolt from the lower part of the link from the lower control arm.... hope Matt doesn't plan on removing the whole thing

i just want to say........................... success!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! well the rear anyway .we did it. took about an hour and a half for the rear. looks better. the passenger side is higher. i may throw another spacer on the drivers side. i have pictures up loading.

from the pictures there is no way to see what you did, also one side should not be higher than the other, requiring you add another spacer to one side??????? Still trying to fiqure out what you did

ill have after pics tomorrow morning. we did the same thing on each side. and the springs are aligned exactly how they were before. im not sure why its lower than the pass. side, but it is
