Post subject:  Install assistance

Well, I'm getting the Jeep prepared for ECS and I'm going to need a bit of help this coming Saturday. I have been able to obtain an ARB bumper on the cheap and want to get that installed along with a winch, Al's a-arms, a rear locker, and Moog lower ball joints. (Christmas came early after I sold a bunch of stuff.)

All of this is a bit much for me to take no by myself. If anyone with ARB bumper install experience could help me out that would be awesome. All others are welcome too.

Don't sweat it. I should be able to get the stuff done myself between Saturday and perhaps Monday through Wednesday night. Wish I could be working on it all weekend, but I've got a Master's mid-term to do and a paper to write. It's a jam packed weekend for me and Saturday is likely to be my only full free day.

I'm still waiting on the bumper, winch, and locker, but I'm expecting them by Friday. If not then I'll just be doing the other items. When I get the bumper I'll try my hand at painting it black. Hopefully I'll be able to break my poor painting ability and actually make the bumper look nice with no drips.

Do you need the instructions to mount the ARB?
In painting prep before spraying is the key then light coats and keep building up.

Thanks for the advice Tom. I'll have to pick up some black Rust-Oleum primer and some black paint. Wonder if I can hang the bumper from the rafters in the garage to paint it easier without bringing down the roof due to the weight. I was able to locate the install instructions over at 4 Wheel Drive (4wd.com). Pretty excited about getting that installed as I think it will complete the look.
