The last time I had something like this, a buddy called and said "this young girls car broke down out by my place, could you come out and help her out? " Sure I said, that was on a Wednesday, she asked me out for that Friday night which was Halloween weekend, we got married the weekend before Thanksgiving!!!!!!!! 
We got a divorce the following August She left with a new car paid for by ME!!!
The one before and the one after each got a house so she was the cheaper of them all

It sounds like the dealer is covering there booty and selling some parts and hoping something will fix it !! It could very well need a tune up, but 6 coils and 6 injector's , come on !!!!  I have heard liberty's having cluster and body control issu'es when battery's are low on charge or have dead cell's. Could have a speed sensor on rear diff. or harness issue causing speedo problems.
And YES, I would be happy to LOOK under her hood !!!!!!

HMMMMMMMMMMMMM I think It would be benificial to check her undercarriage! I'll Be in charge of that....  Tell her I'll give her a tune-up free of charge.. But She has to spend the night!
