....from Lancaster. Though the weather is crappy tonight, I've been enjoying the warm Fall weather with some bike rides in SE Fairfield County (I brought my road and mountain bikes with me). The Fairfield County Fair (last one in the state of Ohio - and is the best one in the state) starts next Sunday in Lancaster. Ends on the 17th. The Fairgrounds are located in front of Mt Pleasant (300ft sandstone rock).

Come check it out.

Miss being able to go to the fair, (well even sort of miss living in Lancaster  ) , yes one of if not the very best in Ohio. Great views from the top of the rock also. Been 5 years since I have been up there.
So how long are you going to be in Lancaster for? Maybe going through that way soon!
Lots of nice roads to ride on, one from Lancaster down to Sugar Grove is always nice, or out Hamburg!

Been through that area a couple times and always oohhhed and aaahhhhhed and thought I could see myself living here. Also always wanted to make the fair, I have heard it is a very good one.

Tom,

Here until the end of the fair and then driving back to Colorado. Today is a perfect Fall day. Crisp cool air with the smell of Fall entering the nostrils. Love it! Wet Oak and Maple leaves put a special aroma into the air that I can't get in Colorado.

I ride out Hamburg to catch the county roads. Revenge Road is very steep and hilly. Similar to Colorado but not as long of a climb. It is great to ride past the covered bridges.

I see that a couple of the ski resorts are opening up already. Too soon for me.

So much for Fall weather here. It is up to 63 degrees. No longer crisp. Tomorrow it rains...again.
